There is little doubt that in its time Ashlea Pool was right up there is terms of big carpwaters, and it is therefore fair to say that a book detailing the history of this iconic water has been long overdue. Chris Ball is the ideal author for such a book and along with a number of contributors, has produced a comprehensive and wonderfully enteraining history of the pool.
This is the sixth history-related carp fishing book by Chris Ball and his third in collaboration with The Little Egret Press, following on from Historical Carp Waters 2017 and Historical Carp Waters II 2020.
